Credit Empowerment, Illuminating the Future: Ningbo Lighting Electrical Industry Association Successfully Held the 'Credit·Light·Collaboration' Credit Chamber of Commerce Development Symposium

In order to thoroughly implement the Ningbo Federation of Industry and Commerce’s overall deployment on Credit Chamber of Commerce construction, promote deep integration between the credit system and the lighting industry, and explore effective pathways for transforming “credit” into “productivity” and “competitiveness,” the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry Association successfully held the “Trust·Light·Collaboration—Credit Empowering High-Quality Development of the Lighting Industry and Credit Chamber of Commerce Construction Symposium” on the afternoon of August 11 at the Mo Qi Hotel in Ningbo East New Town. Attending the meeting were Wu Yitong, Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Ningbo Federation of Industry and Commerce; Zhou Qian, First-Class Principal Officer from the Organization and Construction Department of the Ningbo Federation of Industry and Commerce; Li Zhizheng, Deputy Director of the Policy Evaluation Department at the Ningbo Economic Information Center (Ningbo Credit Center); Zhu Guozhen, Chairman of Ningbo Zhongzhao Liansai Er Fu Lighting Co., Ltd. and President of the Association; along with 18 other attendees including association vice presidents, council members, and expert representatives from fields such as intellectual property, finance, and chambers of commerce, who gathered to discuss a new chapter in credit system development. The meeting was chaired by Wang Junkai, Secretary-General of the Association.

At the symposium, the Secretariat of the Association first delivered a detailed report to the attendees on the overall progress of the 'Credit Chamber of Commerce Construction' project. The report systematically reviewed three aspects: key breakthroughs sought since the project’s launch, interim achievements to date, and plans for deepening implementation in the next phase. This provided participants with a comprehensive and clear understanding of the project’s status and laid a solid foundation for subsequent discussions.

During the discussion session, representatives engaged in a lively dialogue on core topics including intellectual property (IP) compliance, credit risk mitigation, and the business environment. All agreed that Ningbo’s lighting industry is characterized by a predominance of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), a high proportion of foreign trade, and full-chain industry coverage. They viewed focusing on “IP credit” as a precise and pragmatic entry point—an effective pathway to advance from “business credit” to “IP credit.” Furthermore, the policy advantages offered by Ningbo’s pilot program for an integrated IP finance ecosystem provide clear direction and strong support for building a credit-based chamber of commerce. Representatives shared practical suggestions based on their own experiences and expressed strong support and willingness to participate in this initiative. In response to these inputs, the association announced its next steps: leveraging Ningbo’s IP finance pilot policies to explore establishing a closed-loop credit service system covering the entire chain—credit acquisition, evaluation, application, and remediation—and coordinating with the municipal credit center, relevant municipal departments, and financial institutions to deepen understanding and implementation of related policies. This will promote cross-regional mutual recognition of credit and information sharing, using IP credit as a “small entry point” to drive “large-scale synergy” in chamber governance and industry services, thereby delivering a “Ningbo Lighting Association Solution” to the Ningbo Federation of Industry and Commerce.

In his concluding remarks, Association President Zhu Guozhen noted that the association’s current exploration of credit-building is still at an initial stage, with insufficient depth of understanding and limited coverage. He called on all member enterprises to jointly contribute efforts to make the credit-based chamber initiative more comprehensive and robust, and to deliver a satisfactory outcome to the Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Vice Chairman Wu Yitong of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce delivered closing remarks, fully affirming the association's work as “distinctive and fruitful.” He emphasized that the next step should focus on enabling practical credit applications, making credit outcomes “visible, usable, and valuable.” He expressed hope that the three chambers of commerce would set exemplary models, learn from each other, and summarize best practices for broader promotion—just as the meeting’s theme “Trust·Light·Collaboration” suggests: gathering trust into a beam of light to illuminate the path forward for the industry.

This symposium served not only as a review of interim achievements but also as a driving force for further credit-enabled initiatives. Through in-depth exchanges and intellectual synergy, participants reached greater consensus and clarified their direction. Moving forward, the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry Association will continue deepening its “Credit Chamber of Commerce” initiative, empowering member enterprises to strengthen foundations through trust and expand horizons through innovation—together crafting a high-quality, credit-driven future for the lighting industry.
