The 2026 (21st) China Road Lighting Forum will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, from April 15–17. At this forum, numerous renowned industry experts will share with attendees the latest road lighting technologies, advanced municipal lighting operation and management experiences, and lighting design solutions for major domestic engineering projects. On April 15, the 6th Meeting of the 9th Board of Directors of China Lighting Association will also be held concurrently, and representatives are welcome to attend as observers.

The forum will also include training sessions on road lighting technologies and the latest standards and regulations. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion issued by China Lighting Association. The training will focus on developments and practices in road lighting, covering forward-looking design concepts, refined management and future trends of urban road lighting, integrated pole design practices for urban expressways, interpretation of the latest government procurement policies, and analysis of representative case studies. It will also systematically promote the new national standard for performance requirements of road and tunnel lighting, as well as interpret and release the latest relevant group standards, comprehensively enhancing participants’ integrated capabilities in planning, design, standard comprehension, and engineering practice. In the past two editions of the road lighting forum training sessions, hundreds of participants have completed the training and received certificates.

Since its inception in 2005, the China Road Lighting Forum has successfully held twenty editions and has played a pivotal role as a core industry exchange platform in advancing the road lighting sector. This year’s forum is themed “Resilience, Livability, Integration, and Innovation,” deeply focusing on key topics such as low-carbon transition pathways under the dual carbon goals, coordinated development of smart poles and urban infrastructure, digital operation and maintenance upgrades for road lighting, and iteration of industry standards alongside quality control. Leading industry experts, scholars, and top enterprise executives across the value chain will be invited to gather and address industry pain points through policy interpretations, keynote speeches, case sharing, discussions, and specialized training, sharing cutting-edge practical outcomes and building an efficient platform for collaboration among government, enterprises, academia, and research institutions—thereby enhancing fine-grained urban management and empowering high-quality smart city development.
