On April 12, 2023, the inaugural “Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (InnoEX)”, co-organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), together with HKTDC’s “Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition)” and “Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition)”, officially opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The previous Hong Kong Lighting Fair attracted 1,435 exhibitors from nine countries and regions, covering an exhibition area of 27,900 square meters. Over four days, the fair welcomed 20,846 visitors, including 6,361 from Hong Kong and 14,485 (70%) from outside Hong Kong. The exhibitor-to-buyer ratio was 1:15, with notable growth recorded in buyer numbers from mainland China, Indonesia, Ukraine, France, the UK, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Nordic countries. The 2023 Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) marked a significant international lighting event in Hong Kong after nearly three years. Its relaunch has drawn widespread attention from the global lighting community. Under the theme “Smart Living, Connecting the World,” it attracted exhibitors from countries and regions including Canada, Germany, Hungary, India, New Zealand, Jordan, and San Marino.
During the fair, Ms. Zhu Guozhen, President of the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry Association, and Mr. Zhao Wei, Chair of the Association’s Supply Chain Committee, led a delegation to Hong Kong for on-site coverage of the event. They visited and engaged with numerous member companies exhibiting at the fair, including Far East Lighting, Yamao Optoelectronics, Kaiyao Electric, Yisheng Lighting, Ouluke Electric, Qianfeng Zhenye Lighting, Phylux Lighting, Shangge Lighting, Lange Lighting, Yasheng Lighting, Weijia Electronics, Tailian Lighting, Yingrun Lighting, Yourong Lighting, Jindian Lighting, Liangji Electric, Aoguang Lighting, Zhaolong Optoelectronics, Darko Optoelectronics, Dongling, and Qiyichuang. These outstanding enterprises collectively showcased Ningbo’s strong capabilities in expanding overseas markets and highlighted Ningbo’s status as a leading lighting industry hub.
