The 2023 Ningbo International Lighting Exhibition, co-organized by the China Solid State Lighting Alliance, Zhejiang Lighting Appliance Association, Ningbo Lighting Appliance Industry Association, and Ningbo Electronics Industry Association, and hosted by Shanghai Yisheng Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Gaosheng International Exhibition Co., Ltd., was grandly inaugurated at 9:00 a.m. on May 8 in Halls 1–8 of Ningbo International Convention & Exhibition Center! This exhibition is currently the largest and most influential professional lighting exhibition in East China!
After 15 years of perseverance through challenges, our original mission remains unchanged! Positioned as a “professional and distinctive exhibition,” we have built an integrated platform that combines government-enterprise collaboration, trade transactions, academic exchange, and industrial planning. Showcasing current trends and leading industry development, this year’s exhibition has reached a new scale record—eight exhibition halls, approximately 52,000㎡ of exhibition space, nearly 2,000 exhibiting enterprises, and professional buyers including domestic and international distributors, purchasers, import/export traders, designers, and government procurement departments. By noon on May 8, visitor attendance had already exceeded 20,000!
The exhibition showcases the entire lighting industry chain—including LED lighting, commercial lighting, educational lighting, smart lighting, outdoor lighting, solar-powered lamps, urban landscape lighting, cultural and tourism lighting, supporting materials, and machinery and equipment—with a continuous stream of innovative and high-quality products. These new products, technologies, equipment, and channels are expected to provide fresh momentum for enterprise growth and further stabilize and advance the lighting industry. Emphasizing technological innovation, the organizing committee also arranged multiple forums and seminars onsite. Industry leaders and entrepreneurs shared their business insights in lighting, revealing key trends and hot topics, fostering communication and collaboration among peers, and demonstrating how technology embraces daily life and shapes the future!
During the exhibition, the Ningbo Lighting Association successfully hosted two development forums. On the morning of May 8, the “2023 Forum on Light Health and Smart Lighting Development” was grandly held in Meeting Room of Hall 8 at the convention center. Guided by the Zhejiang Lighting Appliance Association and co-organized by the Ningbo Lighting Appliance Industry Association, China Lighting Web, Sleep Medicine Committee of China Medical Education Association, and Fudan University Alumni Lighting Association, with support from Beijing and Shanghai Lighting Appliance Associations, the forum brought together over 100 representatives from across China—including association leaders, experts in lighting and sleep medicine, and outstanding professionals from lighting enterprises—to jointly celebrate this significant event in Ningbo, Zhejiang.
That same afternoon, the “2023 Ningbo 5G+ Smart Streetlight Development Forum,” organized by the Ningbo Lighting Appliance Industry Association, was also grandly held. The forum featured insightful presentations by three renowned industry experts: Wen Qidong, Executive Vice Dean and Chief Researcher of Guangya Lighting Research Institute, who presented “Analysis of China’s Lighting Industry Export Performance in Q1 2023 and Outlook for the Year”; Zhao Jianping, Deputy Director of the Institute of Building Environment and Energy Efficiency at China Academy of Building Research, who spoke on “Reflections on Urban Lighting Transformation in the Digital Era”; and Dai Qi, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Information Science and Engineering, Fudan University, who discussed “Feasibility Study of Online Monitoring Systems for Media Facade Lighting Brightness.” Additionally, outstanding lighting enterprises—including Dongguan Beiqi Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Yangzhou Owell Smart Pole Technology Co., Ltd., Talon Smart Display (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Youming Optoelectronic Co., Ltd.—delivered compelling presentations highlighting their corporate strengths, product features, and future design strategies. Centered around the theme “Integration of Cloud and Poles, Creating an Intelligent Future,” the forum sparked vibrant discussions and exchanges, drawing a packed and enthusiastic audience!
