On the morning of September 3, 2025, the grand ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was solemnly held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the reception and delivered an important speech.

The Party Branch of the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry Association, jointly with the Secretariat of Ningbo Lighting Association, meticulously organized a profoundly meaningful live viewing event of the commemoration ceremony to honor the heroic sacrifices of martyrs and draw strength for moving forward.

Looking back on those years of war and turmoil, the Chinese nation wrote an epic of magnificent heroism through its indomitable spirit of resistance. Countless martyrs gave their blood and lives to secure today’s peaceful and prosperous land. When we stand at a new starting point and look back at that history filled with tears and blood, it continues to shine brightly through the river of time..

In 1931, the Chinese people rose up against the brutal invasion by Japanese militarism, marking the beginning of the global anti-fascist war. In 1937, China launched a nationwide war of resistance, establishing the Eastern main battlefield of the World Anti-Fascist War. After the outbreak of the war, the Communist Party of China called loudly for national self-rescue, igniting patriotic fervor across the country and forming a united front of national resistance described as “an awakened lion roaring—no one dares devour or carve up our land; scattered sand coalescing—even if split like beans or melons.”

Eighty years have passed—the dust of Japanese invaders’ iron hooves has long faded away, yet the spirit of resistance remains forever engraved in the nation’s memory. When the live broadcast camera panned over white-haired veterans in the audience, the medals on their chests continued to tell stories of those glorious, arduous years. Today, China has transformed from the once impoverished and weak “Sick Man of East Asia” into a soaring dragon of the East—a testament to the historical truth that “justice will ultimately triumph over barbarism, and unity can overcome oppression.”

The wheels of history roll forward, and the tide of the times surges powerfully. Remembering history is not about perpetuating hatred but about drawing strength from the spirit of resistance. This strength will inspire Chinese youth of the new era to strive courageously on the path toward national rejuvenation, ensuring that the sunshine of peace forever shines upon Chinese soil and that the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity radiates ever more brilliantly.

The live viewing event of the 80th anniversary commemoration of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, organized by the Party Branch of the Ningbo Lighting Electrical Appliance Industry Association, was not only a retrospective and tribute to history but also a profound inheritance and spiritual baptism.
